Red Carpet Dreams at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is where guests can meet Minnie Mouse dressed in her red carpet best and Sorcerer Mickey Mouse. The meet and greet location is across from Sci-Fi Dine-In on Commissary Lane. This experience doesn’t utilize Lightning Lane, but if you or someone in your party uses the Disability Access Service (DAS) – which assists those who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to disability – it can be used here. Anyway, let’s dive into this fun character experience.
Mickey & Minnie Mouse Meet and Greet – Location
As I mentioned above, this character meet and greet is located in the Commissary Lane section of the park. The line is partially outside, and the second part of the line is indoors.
After waiting outside, guests will enter Minnie Mouse’s meet-and-greet set. Her set is adorable and detailed. The best part is that she wears a costume you can’t see anywhere else.
After meeting Minnie, guests move into a tighter line that leads to Sorcerer Mickey. This part of the experience isn’t magical because the line is cramped and small. Thankfully, this part moves pretty quickly, so it’s not too bad.
The Sorcerer Mickey set is, in my opinion, one of the best at Disney. It is such a detailed set with his magic book and everything.
The building itself isn’t the best because it doesn’t allow for a fully indoor queue, and it creates cramped and tight lines, but the sets for each character definitely take it up a notch.
Mickey & Minnie Meet and Greet – Experience
I love that here, guests can meet Minnie on her own and then move over to meet Mickey. This allows kids to spend more time with each character and allows Minnie and Mickey to be more creative.
I love seeing Minnie Mouse in her beautiful pink dress. It’s iconic. Usually, we see her in the basic red and white polka dot dress that we all know in love, and this just makes her look even more glamorous. Minnie was so sweet and gave me such a great hug. She also had me do several poses, which I loved because it gave me more photos to choose from. I felt that the interaction was a bit rushed, but I understand because the line was 45 minutes, so characters tend to move a little faster in those circumstances.
Sorcerer Mickey was full of energy, and it had me cracking up. He noticed I was wearing a TRON Lightcycle / Run shirt, and I said I wish I could run as fast as TRON, and he motioned that he could make that happen with some magic. After he did his magic, I started to pretend to run; it was fun. This is going down as one of my best interactions with Mickey Mouse.
Red Carpet Dreams at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a fun meet and greet. It isn’t my favorite spot to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse, but I think it is a unique place to meet them. Will you visit Red Carpet Dreams on your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
