Thanks to Twitter user @bioreconstruct, we have some interesting photos to share of the first of the four taco-shaped barges from ‘Harmonious’ being dismantled behind the scenes at EPCOT.
While some have argued that this nighttime fireworks show was incredible, many Disney fans were put off by the eyesore in the middle of the World Showcase lagoon. For most, the beautiful show did not make up for guests having to put up with the spectacle during the day. You might remember that when the show was originally announced, the barges were supposed to turn into fountains during daytime hours, but that never happened for whatever reason.
Regardless, those barges are in the process of being removed, and we’re looking forward to hearing details about the upcoming fireworks show that is currently being created.
According to @bioreconstruct, the 1 in the image above shows a small platform that provided power and show controls to the removed barge rising above pilings. The 2 shows “distribution of power and control to the show.”
For now, guests can see EPCOT Forever nightly.
