Top 3 Reasons You Should Stay at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is a value resort near Disney’s Animal Kingdom with five distinct themes – Broadway, calypso, country, rock, and jazz. The nightly rates start at $150 for a standard room and $330 for a family suite. We recently had the opportunity to stay at All-Star Music and were pleasantly surprised by our entire experience and think you should consider a stay on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

Family Suites

The family suites sleep up to 6 people and include a separate bedroom with a queen bed and a living space with two queen pull-down beds. This is perfect for larger groups or families with little ones. During the day, the two pull-down beds convert to a dining table with four chairs and a sofa.

A great feature of this space is all of the storage! There are cubbies on the same wall as the beds, a large dresser, and hidden storage in the ottoman.

Maybe one of the biggest perks is the kitchenette area with a sink, refrigerator/ freezer combo, microwave, and, yet again, more storage!

There are also two full-size bathrooms, so everyone has room to get ready for the parks! With the ability to sleep 6, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette, the value of the family suites is pretty great for a Disney stay. In fact, it’s often half the price of the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Larger Than Life Disney Theming on a Not-So-Large Budget

With so many of the Disney Resort remodels, the theming has become more subdued with neutral colors and hidden characters. In contrast, All-Star Music still feels like you are plopped in the middle of a Disney animated film! This is great for both taking pictures and exploring the resort.

These Disney on Broadway signs lit up at night are even more stunning and the different themes make them easy to find your resort section and room. There are even “hidden Mickey’s” scattered about the resort and familiar characters like the Three Caballeros and Balu from The Jungle Book.

This over-the-top theming also brings plenty of amenities like a large feature pool, a quiet pool, playground, large food court, arcade, and Disney gift shop. And despite the resort feeling larger than life, it’s much more condensed than some of the larger Moderate Resorts like Coronado Springs. This makes it easier to get to the lobby and there’s only one bus stop.

Plus the biggest perk of all – your dollar goes further at the All-Star Resorts than another Walt Disney World resort! The All Stars are notoriously the lowest-priced resorts with enough rooms to offer good availability and the possibility of a room discount. For those who just need a room to sleep in between busy park days but still want to stay on Disney property, All-Star Music is definitely for you!

Access to the Other All-Star Resorts

All-Star Sports, Music, and Movies are all in the same area and have a walking path between the three resorts. This means if you’re a big Toy Story fan, you can walk to All-Star Movies and get your picture taken with giant Buzz and Woody statues! Or if you want to try a different food court or gift shop, you can do that too! So many times, we pick resorts based on the theme, but with the All-Stars, you can see them all and still enjoy being able to stay at a family suite at All-Star Music.

The resort is in very close proximity to both Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach, plus you are also very close to the only McDonald’s on property if you drove and are looking for a quick meal!
