Disney Cruise Line unveils plans for the Disney DreamDisney Cruise Line began construction on their new ship in March 2009. The scheduled maiden voyage for the Dream is planned for January 26, 2011. The new ship will be 40% bigger than the current two ships, with two additional decks and 1,250 staterooms.

One of the most anticipated features will be the first ever water coaster at sea. The Aqua Duck's 250 yards of transparent tubing will send you twisting and turning over the top decks and out over the sea.

The Dream will be equipped with state of the art technology. Each inside stateroom will have a "virtual porthole" showing rolling waves and Disney characters swimming by, all in HD. "Enchanted Art" throughout the ship will "come alive" when guests stop to look at the frames.

New kids' areas are being designed after several Disney movies, including Toy Story, Monster's Inc., Tinkerbell, and Finding Nemo.

The new ship will take three and four night sailings, with five night sailings being added during the summer. There will also be five night holiday cruises during Christmas and New Year's.
