Updated: Disney's Magical Express bus and car crash near Epcot; one person reported dead

Update 8/16/13 7:15pm:
The accident happened around 3:50pm. The Magical Express bus hit the car, driven by a woman in her 60s, who later died at Celebration Health. Two passengers from the bus, including a child, were transferred to the hospital as a precaution. Other passengers on the bus remained on the scene for approximately two hours before other Mears buses arrived to transport them to their destinations.
A statement from Mears reads:
"Earlier today a Disney Magical Express bus owned and operated by Mears Transportation Group was involved in an accident with another automobile near Epcot Center Drive and Overpass Road in Orlando just after 3:30 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene and handling the investigation.
We have been informed by FHP that one individual in the automobile involved died as a result of the accident and two individuals on board the bus were transported to Celebration Hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of the individual who tragically lost their life in this accident. We are cooperating fully with FHP."
Florida Highway Patrol troopers have confirmed a collision
between a Magical Express bus and a car near Epcot
this afternoon, Friday, August 16. The incident happened on Epcot Center Drive and the road was closed so emergency vehicles could make their way through. The Orlando Sentinel
is reporting that one person has died, but there are no further details. We will update this story as we know more.
Magical Express is operated by Mears Transportation, but is contracted by Disney to provide complimentary transportation to guests to and from the Orlando International Airport.
