Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa officially opens

At 6:30am Hawaii time, Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii opened its doors and let in its first guests. The resort is Disney's first in Hawaii and the latest addition to Disney's non-theme-park resort offerings. A community preview event was held on the evening of Saturday, August 27th where Tom Staggs, Chairman of Disney Parks & Resorts and Djuan Rivers, Vice President of Aulani, paid tribute to the team of Imagineers that made the resort possible.
