Disneyland Paris cast members go on strike

Costumed characters at Disneyland Paris went on strike last week after a fight about a sexual harassment allegation. A Disneyland Paris spokesperson said, "The situation was related to fears concerning a cast member who will return to work following disciplinary measures. Resort activity returned to normal on Thursday morning."

Although the cast members are back to work now, that still doesn't help the tourists who missed out on those experiences during the downtime. Because the strike involved the costumed characters, all of the regularly scheduled meet and greet experiences were canceled. British newspaper The Sun quoted an unnamed source, saying, "The people who are really suffering are visitors including thousands of children. They were heartbroken at not being able to meet and pose for pictures with their heroes."

The strike was the second one in two months; in March cast members also went on strike over a dispute in pay and working conditions.
