New Balance partners with Disney and creates Mickey-themed shoe

Disney now has an official shoe. On Wednesday, January 9, New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts announced that New Balance will be "the official athletic shoe of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex." In honor of the occasion, New Balance has released a running shoe inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The limited edition "runDisney 860v3" is available in both a men's and women's version and costs around $125. For now, the shoes are exclusively available at the 2013 Walt Disney World Marathon Health & Fitness Expo January 10-12.

New Balance will also be the official baseball shoe of amateur baseball events, and the title sponsor of the track and field facility at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
