One person killed in crash on Disney property

A head-on collision on Walt Disney World property killed a 59-year old Kissimmee man Friday morning. The accident, which involved a propane truck and a Geo Metro, occurred on a back access road on Orange Bear Island Road and Car Care Drive. For unknown reasons, the driver of the car drove into the path of the propane truck, which was in the northbound lane. The truck was driven by Kevin Whitaker of Orlando; he was not injured. The Medical Examiner's Office is investigating if any medical conditions were a factor in the accident.
