ABC is working with Lucasfilm to create TV shows based on the Star Wars characters. Paul Lee, president of Disney's ABC Entertainment Group, said, "We've started conversations with them. I have an inkling in my mind, but they have a lot on their plate." The Disney Co. purchased Lucasfilm in October 2012 for the price of $4.1 billion. A new Star Wars film is scheduled for 2015 and after that, a new film should come out every two to three years.

ABC is also working on utilizing their other recent purchase; Marvel Entertainment was purchased for $4.2 billion in 2009. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will air this fall on ABC.
