On the heels of the successful re-release of "The Lion King" in 3D, Walt Disney Studios announced dates for four more films to debut in 3D. Alan Bergman, President of Walt Disney Studios said, "Great stories and great characters are timeless, and at Disney we're fortunate to have a treasure trove of both. We're thrilled to give audiences of all ages the chance to experience these beloved tales in an exciting new way with 3D - and in the case of younger generations, for the first time on the big screen."

The first of four films, "Beauty and the Beast" will arrive in theatres on January 13, 2012. The movie was slated to open in 3D sometime in 2010 only to be pushed back to October of 2011, then eventually taken off the schedule entirely.

"Finding Nemo" will open on September 14, 2012.

"Monsters, Inc." will open on January 18, 2013.

"The Little Mermaid" will open on September 13, 2013.
