Cruise Lines change course to avoid Tropical Storm Fay
by Leah ZanollaAug 18, 2008
Cruise lines are changing their itineraries in response to Tropical Storm Fay.
While Disney Cruise Line is watching the storm and has not adjusted the itinerary for the Wonder, other major cruise lines have changed their routes.
Carnival Fascination will not visit Key West on Tuesday and will keep their ships a "safe distance" from Fay.
Port Canaveral will not be scheduling cruise traffic on Tuesday. Due to this, Norwegian Spirit has changed its itinerary as has Norwegian Sky which left Miami early. The Sky will stop at Nassau on Tuesday and Grand Bahama on Wednesday.
Most major airlines are waiving their cancellation/change fees for passengers scheduled to fly into Florida. The arrival dates which are impacted vary among the individual airlines.
