With three million international passengers flying through Orlando in August, the airport's overall travel was up despite the decrease in domestic travel.
International travel was up by 16 percent compared to August of 2007. In the past 12 months, the airport reports an overall increase of 3.6 percent.
The Orlando Airport recently was named one of the top five airports by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. The publication cited the airport's shopping, food, comfort and ease in making connections in designating it to be among the nation's best.
