On Thursday, May 30th Knott's Berry Farm will host the official Grand Opening of an expansion to their Boardwalk area, plus the re-opening of the Timber Mountain Log Ride.
At 9am, pop culture expert and author Charles Phoenix will hose the ribbon cutting at the Boardwalk Expansion.
The new area features the family coaster Coast Rider, the Surfside Glider and the classic Pacific Scrambler.
At 10am, Knott's will break a boysenberry juice bottle over the bow of the Timber Mountain Log Ride to Celebrate its re-opening after a multi-million dollar renovation. On hand will be Ethan Wayne, son of the late John Wayne, who was in attendance at the opening day in 1969 with his father.
The Timber Mountain Log Ride has undergone a complete refurbishment with all-new animated figures, lighting, sets and soundtrack.
Knott's Berry Farm is located in Buena Park, just a few miles from the Disneyland Resort.
