"Blackfish" to air on CNN October 24

Blackfish, the "anti-SeaWorld documentary," will air on CNN Thursday, October 24 at 9:00pm. The filmmakers wanted to show what they believe happens to killer whales living in captivity at marine parks like SeaWorld. SeaWorld has called the film "intentionally misleading" and has been trying to fight back against the bad press they've received since Tilikum the whale killed one of the park's trainers back in February 2010. Blackfish was out in theaters this summer in a limited release, and grossed about $2.1 million. Much of the film's publicity is actually coming from SeaWorld's fight to stop the film. However, a spokesman for SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. says they've only received "a handful of emails" and "very few guest questions or calls" about the film.
