The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
at Universal Orlando
isn't the only place fans of the boy wizard can step into the fictional world of Harry Potter. Beginning Saturday, March 31, Warner Bros. will open their Leavesden Studios in England for public tours. The Harry Potter movies were filmed here, and guests will be able to see all the sets they remember from their favorite scenes. Some of the sets available for tour include the Great Hall at Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Dumbledore's office, and a 1:24 scale model of Hogwarts Castle used for the films' exterior shots. Plenty of props will be on hand as well, such as Harry's broomstick, Hermione's cloak, and Hagrid's motorcycle. Guests can view behind-the-scenes videos showing how the stunning visual effects were produced for the movies. Prices for the tours are $45 for adults, $33 for children (ages 5-15), and $130 for a family of four. Not surprisingly, a gift shop is available as well. 5,000 people per day are expected to visit the studios.
