Universal Studios Orlando experienced a power outage Tuesday, August 13, in a large portion of the park. Guests were posting on Twitter and Instagram during the incident, guessing about 75 percent of the park was dark. An exact cause for the outage isn't known, but Orlando Utilities Commission, the park's power provider, said that one of the five feeder lines to the property had failed.

Tom Schroder of NBC Universal said, "We had power restored in about an hour. During that time, we guided guests to areas of the park where they could experience attractions and we added some extra entertainment experiences for them to enjoy."
