Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 2136

Notes Nice, standard room. Clean, dry, and cool. Air conditioner worked very well. You will hear noise and vibration during docking and disembarkation. We did not hear any overhead noise, and we only heard noise from the hallway if people were talking loudly right outside our door. The location is very convenient to the third and fourth floor main areas, and also close to the aft elevators which can take you straight up to the 9th floor where the drink station is. My only complaint is that the large porthole window was a bit scratched on the outside. The queen bed was very comfortable. The bunks are rather short if adults or full-grown teenagers are sleeping in them. All-in-all, this was a very comfortable room, especially considering it is one of the lowest categories.

Notes This room was great size wise, but that's where it ends. The room smelled extremely musty and of mold when we walked in and the air conditioner fully lowered would not go below 75 degrees. We noticed the carpet was all wet by the shower room door and when the technician came the first time to look at the A/C they said it was just the condenser dripping and they changed the filter and "opened it all the way". The next day it did not get any cooler so we asked for them to come and look at it again. The next technician took a temperature reading and it was 75 degrees in the room. He told us he "opened it up all the way again", and I told him the previous technician did that so I don't know how much further it could be opened. I went to guest services a few times and they moved us to room 7004. No musty or moldy smell and the Air conditioner was definitely working. I would not recommend anything on the second floor aft starboard side cause the whole floor had a musty odor to it as well.

Notes We found 2136 to be a great stateroom. It was quite and yes, we could hear some noises from our neighbors and slight noises from the hall but I thought that was all normal. We were somewhat convenient to the Edge, which my DD13 enjoyed and also to the aft staircase and elevators. The mid ship elevators were also convenient not a bad walk at all. The one great thing; the laundry is very close by (I did not do laundry) but we did use the iron to touch up our clothes. Everything worked and was in fine repair. The stateroom had a very comfortable bed. We loved the stateroom and would love to stay there again.

Notes This room is very near a thruster and it can be quite loud and even shake a bit when the ship docks - which is usually in the early morning (7:00). No overhead noise, adjacent room doors closing can be heard easily. Far eonough that there is no extra noise from elevators/stairs to, but not too far to be a bad walk. Easy walk to all restaurants. Good overall.

Notes We really liked this room and we would stay there again. It was very convenient when it came to dining. The room was quiet and we did not mind the engine vibrations at all. During our last day at sea, all of the bathrooms on our side of the ship (and AFT) had flooding. The water was cleaned up quickly and there was no odour left behind. We are a family of 4 and we were just fine with the amount of space.

Notes Quiet room. Some mornings we heard an occasional chair being moved on the floor above us (I assume for vacuuming purposes) at Parrot Cay. I am a very light, fussy sleeper and had no problem with this room.
