This year’s Halloween season just got even spookier. The witches are back! Disney at the Upfronts Presentation announced when and where Hocus Pocus 2 would be available.
On September 30th Hocus Pocus 2 will be available on Disney+ just in time for October. The original witches, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, will return to reprise their roles.
Those who attended this presentation got a sneak peek of the film; they are extremely lucky. According to an article I read, the footage showed two young girls, possibly witches, lighting the Black Flame Candle. This candle summons our favorite witches, and as they appear, Midler says, “Lock up your children! Yes, Salem, we’re back!” Reading that portion made me excited to watch the film this Halloween season.
Other details about the movie that were released were that RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Ginger Minj, Kornbread Jeté, and Kahmora Hall will be portraying the beloved witches in a drag show that the Sanderson sisters attend.
I am so happy that we finally have a release date for Hocus Pocus 2 and that it will be available on Disney+ for this year’s spooky season.
