Disney’s Hollywood Studios has made a splash with its latest retelling, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, and it’s nothing short of a fin-tastic gem. This reimagined stage show brings Ariel’s undersea world to life with dazzling visuals, familiar tunes, and a wave of nostalgia that will have audiences of all ages singing along. From the moment the curtain rises, guests are transported into a vibrant, familiar, and refreshingly new aquatic realm.

At the time of this post, this show does not have set performance times. For example, today’s schedule shows that there are continuous showings from 9:15 am to 7:15 pm. As always, it’s best to pull up the My Disney Experience app on the day you visit for the most accurate showtimes. The queue for this show was mostly in the shade during my visit, but that could vary. I found it helpful to have a UV umbrella and a handheld fan with me in line to try and stay cool.

The production cleverly blends those classic elements we love with modern technology, featuring stunning puppetry, dynamic lighting, and immersive projections. Songs like Part of Your World and Under the Sea are performed with such energy and charm that you can barely resist clapping along.

Adding Kiss the Girl as its own scene adds a romantic touch that fans of the original film will adore.

What truly sets this show apart is its ability to balance humor and heart. Ursula’s performance is both menacing and hilarious, with boos and cheers coming from the audience.

The cast’s chemistry and comedic timing keep the crowd engaged, while the heartfelt moments between Ariel and her father, King Triton, add emotional depth.

In just under 30 minutes, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure truly captures the essence of Disney magic. It’s a must-see for anyone visiting the park, whether you’re a lifelong fan of the film or discovering Ariel’s story for the first time. So grab your dinglehopper (pictured below from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort) and dive into this enchanting experience – you won’t regret it.
