Thoughts On ‘Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After’ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Tucked away in a corner of Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the home of Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After. This (new this year) performance takes place in Sunset Showcase, the theater that was the former home of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. We have also enjoyed an after-hours show in this theater years ago.

The show features a Magic Mirror and some of the notorious Disney villains as they come to life on the stage. Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent are the live-action performers as they “campaign” to be the most misunderstood villain. As the story goes, the Magic Mirror is tired of the Villains complaining to the mirror. There are more than 50 villains featured on the screens on the stage, so be sure to watch for them all. The show’s ending changes with each performance based on the audience’s reaction.

It’s a fun show, but it would have been nice if they had more than three villains performing on the stage, or even a few different ones occasionally.

If you are looking to get out of the heat, this is a great place to cool off and enjoy the show.

You can use Lightning Lane to reserve your time. The attraction is handicapped accessible. Guests can stay in their wheelchairs or scooters for the duration of the show. There are accessible areas at the front and back of the theater.

Just a reminder for this show, pick a row of seats and then move down as far as you can go. I see too many people sitting down in the middle of the row and the cast members have to remind them to move down.

Do you have a favorite Disney villain? Who do you think is the most misunderstood? ‘Til next time, see you in the parks.
