It’s time to set your clocks to Pooh time, as we look at another Walt Disney World snack. We’re back on the hunt for a little smackerel of something… Today we’re re-visiting for one of my all-time favorite dishes at WDW, found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

In a park already known for its impressive lineup of quick-service and table-service dining, like Tiffin’s, Satu’li Canteen and Flame Tree Barbecue, there’s even more to explore! Yak & Yeti, located in the Asia section of the park, offers a unique fusion menu that continues to please.

One of Yak & Yeti’s most beloved and buzz-worthy items are the Ahi Tuna Nachos ($21.99).

This dish begins with a base of crispy fried wonton chips, which provide a satisfying crunch and hold up well under the generous toppings. A fresh Asian slaw adds tang and texture, but the real star is the ahi tuna: plentiful chunks of high-quality, sushi-grade tuna that are tender and flavorful.

The entire dish is drizzled with wasabi aioli and a sweet soy glaze, balancing heat, sweetness, and umami in every bite. The result is a refreshing yet indulgent option that stands apart from the heavier, more traditional theme park fare.
While technically listed as a shareable item, the portion size is substantial; large enough to share among two to three people, though many (including myself) happily enjoy it as a full entrée. It appeals to both adventurous eaters and those looking for a lighter alternative to barbecue or burgers. I recommend adding a touch of sriracha if you want to kick up the heat, it complements the tuna beautifully without overwhelming the delicate flavors.

Yak & Yeti is a table-service restaurant offering advance reservations to plan into your Disney day, but it often has walk-up availability, including first-come first-serve bar seating, which includes the full food menu.

If you’re looking for a flavorful, fresh, and memorable bite in Animal Kingdom, the Ahi Tuna Nachos are more than worthy of the hype. I’ve ordered them time and time again over the years, and they never disappoint.
Surprise to no one, I give the Ahi Tuna Nachos a five out of five on the rumbly in my tumbly scale!
Have you tried Yak & Yeti’s Ahi Tuna Nachos? What’s your favorite snack at Animal Kingdom? Until next time, be grateful for your plateful!
