Construction on the Avengers Campus expansion at Disney California Adventure continues to move forward, and last week marked a meaningful behind-the-scenes milestone for the project.
Disneyland Resort cast members were invited to take part in the steel beam signing for the upcoming Avengers Campus expansion, a long-standing Disney tradition that allows cast members to leave their mark on new attractions before they are fully built. The signed beam will become part of the show building that will house two new attractions coming to the land.

The expansion will add Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab to Avengers Campus, significantly growing the footprint of the land inside Disney California Adventure. While Disney has yet to announce an official opening timeline, the beam signing gives us a fun look at the continued progress on what is expected to be one of the park’s largest recent construction projects.

Steel beam signings have long been used across Disney Parks as a way to recognize the cast members who help bring new experiences to life. Similar signings have taken place for major projects in the past, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, San Fransokyo Square, and the original Avengers Campus.

As work continues, the Avengers Campus expansion is expected to play a major role in the future of Disney California Adventure, adding new storytelling, attractions, and capacity to the park. The two new experiences will further immerse guests in the Marvel universe, building on the popularity of the existing land.

While Disney has not yet shared when guests can expect them to open, milestones like this offer a glimpse into the project’s scale and momentum. Have you had the chance to visit Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure? As a major Disney fan myself, I was impressed by all the details at Avengers Campus. What did you think of it?
