Wait, Is Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom Actually Decent Now?

Pizzafari has been a staple at Disney’s Animal Kingdom since its opening in 1998. Just like the rest of the park, the details inside this Quick Service restaurant are impressive. Unfortunately, the basic menu of theme park pizzas rarely puts Pizzafari at the top of anyone’s must-do list. After all these years, the space still serves the purpose of providing plenty of indoor seating and a family-friendly menu.

It’s been. longtime since I’ver personally dined at Pizzafari but thanks to the new Bluey snack additions, it was time for a re-visit. What I didn’t expect is how much I enjoyed our lunch and some of the new offerings!

Outside of peak lunch hours, Pizzafari is generally quiet with plenty of seats and a relaxing atmosphere. The addition of the Bluey treats is a great way to enjoy this space and cool off in the afternoon, even if you’re not having a full meal.

As a mom of a kid who wants to eat pizza every day, it’s nice to see that Pizzafari now has a menu with varied options. There are two entree salads, a Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta, and a Chicken Caprese Baguette Sandwich.

Greens and Grains Salad – mixed greens topped with garbanzo beans, white beans, red onions, pepperoncini, Kalamata olives, and quinoa tossed in a house-made Italian vinaigrette – $10.99

This is a fresh, filling option for anyone looking to get some veggies in their theme park diet. The portion of Italian dressing is just right – it adds enough flavor while still keeping the lettuce crisp. This might just be the best Quick Service salad at Disney World!

Creamy Tomato Bisque Soup with Herbed Goat Cheese – $5.79 (seasonal item)

It makes sense the tomato bisque wouldn’t be available in the heat of the summer but it really is delicious! The tomato bisque is creamy with a nice, subtle flavor from the herbed goat cheese. The combination of the soup with the Greens and Grains Salad, was beyond what I normally expect from a Quick Service lunch. If you see the tomato bisque available at Pizzafari, order it!

For Cool Kids’ Summer and Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom, there are special menu items and coloring sheets with crayons available at Pizzafari! The draw of the Bluey snacks has definitely made Pizzafari busier than usual and the treats are worth getting! Check out two of the treats below and read a full review here.

Fairy Bread Cake – vanilla birthday cake dipped in white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles with raspberry dipping sauce – $5.19

Wackadoo Fruit Freeze – a frozen twist on Bluey’s beloved fruit salad made with Simply Fruit Punch and garnished with fruit salad – $6.79

It’s nice to see classic Disney World Quick Services receive menu updates! The combination of options plus the beautiful, indoor space, makes Pizzafari worth another visit.
