One of the biggest announcement from the 2024 D23: Ultimate Disney Fan Event, was the East Coast Cars Land coming to the Magic Kingdom – Piston Peak. Now two years later, we have the two attraction names – Cars Ridge Run Rally and Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along!
Cars Ridge Run Rally will be the centerpiece of the land taking guests on a thrilling race through the landscape of Piston Peak National Park. The attraction will begin with heading up the steep (and sometimes rough) peak. Once racers reach the top of the mountain, you’ll experience a snowy terrain as you head back down, making wild camel back humps. Finishing the race, you’ll run down the geyser field for an exciting finale.
Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along will feature the wildly fun character from Cars 3 and her demolition derby.
This new Cars Land will be called Piston Peak and will have its own unique theming. Shortly after the 2024 D23, Disney Parks officially announced it would take over the same space as Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in Frontier Land.
Piston Peak is one of the national park’s in the world of Cars and was originally featured in Planes: Fire & Rescue. Piston Peak will take its influence from real U.S. National Parks with landscaping like the Rocky Mountains with snowcapped peaks, rivers, and geysers. In fact, Piston Peak will look familiar to Yellowstone with a large geyser that will erupt like Old Faithful, called the “Old Tank Full”
A new character to Piston Peak will be Ranger J. Autobahn Woodlore – based on Audubon Woodlore from the Donald Duck & Humphrey Bear shorts. Ranger J. Autobahn Woodlore will serve as Piston Peak National Park’s central character and as an animatronic in the rally race attraction’s pre-show.
