Disney revealed exciting new details and the name of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent attraction coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the upcoming Tropical Americas land during the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress presentation at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026. Set in the 1950s, the attraction will take guests on an adventure exploring Mayan culture and its deep connection to the natural world.
According to local legends, a mysterious tunnel is protected by a mythical creature, setting the stage for an action-packed journey featuring giant bats, enormous scorpions, and of course, plenty of snakes. The adventure will ultimately bring guests face-to-face with the mythical Jade Serpent, which they must escape. Disney also confirmed that Harrison Ford will serve as the facial model for the Indiana Jones animatronic, bringing the iconic character to life in the new attraction.
