Hey Disney food lovers! Oh my golly gosh, how in the world did I miss this one? Maybe it was that weekend away, or that dreaded bout of flu I had, but in any case, there are absolutely no excuses for not sharing these delicious new menu finds with you right now, this very instant, because I am already drooling just thinking about them!
If you’ve spent any time at Walt Disney World, chances are you’re already a fan of Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs, where classic comfort food gets a delicious and beautiful twist in a gorgeous setting overlooking the water. Needless to say, some of us didn’t need any more convincing to pay a visit, but if you’ve been sitting on the fence or simply need another excuse to return, these new Fall menu additions might just do the trick. And as soon as I spotted Pumpkin Bread Pudding, I knew I needed to investigate. These seasonal additions are available through November 30, so let’s take a look at what has just landed!
First up, we have Fried Brussels Sprouts, tossed in balsamic glaze, drizzled with spicy honey and topped with crumbled goat cheese. Then there’s the new Brunswick Stew, packed with pulled pork, smoked turkey, corn, lima beans and potatoes, served with multigrain toast points for dipping. If you’re looking for something a little more substantial, the Orange Maple Glazed Pork Chop is grilled to perfection and coated in a caramelized spiced orange maple glaze, then served alongside roasted rainbow carrots, garlic mashed potatoes and a cheddar drop biscuit.
And then we arrive at dessert, where Pumpkin Bread Pudding has very firmly entered the chat. Admittedly, I am usually a sticky date girl, but I’m all about this upgrade. We’re talking warm pumpkin bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream, house-made whipped cream, and a pumpkin spice cinnamon dusting. There are also a couple of seasonal sips to investigate, including the Burnt Sugar Old Fashioned and the Pumpkin Cream Coffee Cocktail, which combines pumpkin pie-flavored bourbon with your choice of cold brew or hot coffee, topped with house-made pumpkin cold foam and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice cinnamon.
As someone who never really thought they liked pumpkin spice until I discovered that it could actually be done right, I am definitely not going to snooze on these new menu options. In fact, don’t be surprised if you find me hunched over a plate of those Brussels sprouts, working my way through that pork chop, and protecting my Pumpkin Bread Pudding from anyone who gets too close; Son, I’m looking at you, kiddo! Sharing is caring, but some things are simply too delicious to risk!
