More Changes Coming to Downtown Disney in 2018

The Disneyland Resort has announced another change coming to Downtown Disney in early 2018.

The Disney Parks Blog has confirmed that D-Street will close at the beginning of the year. When it reopens it will begin carrying Disney-themed home goods, including products that change with the season. The last day of business for D-Street is January 1, 2018.

The change at D-Street is in addition to the virtual reality experience, bowling alley, and craft burger restaurant already announced for 2018:

Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is still set to open on January 5th. Tickets are on sale and many early January dates have already sold out.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes didn’t open in late fall as scheduled, but should be open in early 2018.

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer was announced last month and will be open later in 2018.

The summer of 2018 should also bring the closure of many business on the west end of Downtown Disney, as construction begins on a new luxury hotel. Expected to close are the AMC Theaters, Rainforest Cafe, Earl of Sandwich, ESPN Zone, and the Starbucks on that end of Downtown Disney. No dates for those closures or any relocation plans for those business have been announced.

The Disney Parks Blog promises that more details are on the way for even more changes at Downtown Disney.
