The Monday Merch Meeting - Week of March 16 The Monday Merch Meeting

Welcome back my Disney-enthusiast friends for your Monday fix of what is new in Disney Merchandise! If you missed last week’s edition, you can find it here.

We are adding Aulani into the mix this week, and I wanted to take a look back at a few of the super cute offerings made at the O’ahu-based resort so far in 2020 before we get started.

Aulani Resort & Spa Recap: Stitch, ‘Olu and Cookie Ann

Back in January, it was announced that guests staying at the Ko Olina Aulani Resort can now surprise loved ones with Stitch when sending a Friendship Basket! The cute little baskets are filled with local goodies featuring island flavors like pineapple, mango, banana, and taro. Aulani Friendship Baskets with Disney Plush start at $125.

February brought us even more character news from the Hawai’ian resort with the introduction of Cookie Ann, who has now crossed the seas to delight fans of the Duffy Collection. Most of you know I am more of an ‘Olu girl myself, but really, the more, the merrier when it comes to these cuties.

That brings us to last week when Disney Parks announced on March 11th that exclusive new ‘Olu Mel merchandise would be coming to Aulani in summer 2020. Exactly why they needed to add on to ‘Olu’s name with Mel, I’m not entirely sure, but as my favorite character in the Duffy collection, I am choosing to ignore it and just enjoy the new fun stuff.

New Loungefly Backpack Releases!

We need to have a little chat about backpacks for a moment. Anyone who is a fan of the Loungefly brand will be loving these new additions to the site, some of which are available in the parks and resort areas as well, such as Ever After Jewelry Co & World of Disney. The new lineup includes the new Cats Mini ($75), Dogs Mini ($75), NBA Experience Mini ($80), Minnie Mouse “Cosplay” $50, and Mickey Mouse “Cosplay” ($50). I’m not usually a collector of these but, I am loving the texture look of the NBA Experience one. C’mon, it looks like a basketball, you guys!
