Which Side of the Disney Dream Faces Castaway Cay? castaway-cay-starboard

Waking up to Castaway Cay’s breathtaking view from your stateroom is the way to go, especially if you’re booking a stateroom with a verandah. From the turquoise water to the white sandy beaches and lush greenery, the view is certainly a magnificent one.

Typically, all of the Disney Cruise Line ships back into the port when they dock at Castaway Cay with the island to the right of the ship if you’re facing forward. Therefore, you’ll need to book a stateroom on the starboard side of the ship if you want to wake up and see the island oasis from your verandah or porthole window.

It’s very important to keep in mind that this is never a guarantee and a ship could be forced to dock a different way depending on the circumstances at hand, but you’ll have the best chance by booking that starboard stateroom.
