According to the Disney Parks Blog, The Great Irish Hooley will return to Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Disney Springs for the seventh year. This celebration of Irish song, dance, food and drink all takes place on Labor Day weekend, August 31 until September 3.
The festival will not have a cover charge and promises to be packed with live entertainment from award-winning performers. Guests can expect “Irish music, Celt grass, folk, blues, rock and soul styles.”
During The Great Irish Hooley, dancer and Raglan Road choreographer Ciaran Keating will host an “entertaining workshop that traces the origins of Irish dance through contemporary times.”
This year’s Hooley entertainment headliners include:
- JigJam – From Friday until Monday, JigJam will have multiple performances. The multi-award-winning Irish quartet has a unique twist of “CeltGrass,” which they blend “the best of traditional Irish music with Bluegrass and Americana.”
- Lisa Canny – 7-time All-Ireland champion on harp and banjo will be performing from Saturday until Monday. Canny “is an emerging Irish force blending pop and hip-hop with traditional Irish rhythms.”
- Billow Wood (formerly Flat Out) – On Monday this male and female band will perform their “unique brand of instrumentation with multi-vocals and harmonies for a blend of Irish and folk music.”
