The Sketch Pad Café is located on the 1st floor of the Pixar Place Hotel and is open daily from 6:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Menu highlights include bakery items like croissants and brownies, pizza bagels, frittatas, plus espresso, tea, and build-your-own brew with fun syrups and toppings. Most notably, this is your location for grab-and-go coffee at the hotel!
There is plenty of seating and the café is open to the lobby – you might even see Bing Bong stop by for a visit! There’s also a TV exclusively playing a variety of the Pixar shorts, even those I had forgotten about!
There is no Mobile Order option here so you do have to order at the counter. However, I never found the line to be very long.
We tried quite a few food items during the course of our stay, but I also started each day with a cup of coffee! Pictured above is the seasonal latte – mint mocha for $7. I chose to have mine iced and thought it was delicious! My go to coffee order is usually an iced coffee but I found the espresso here to be much better than the cold brew which is bottled and not made in-house.
Ryno tried the coconut chia pudding for $14, but unfortunately, this was a miss. It didn’t taste very fresh and was in no way worth $14. The pudding is served in a plastic mason jar but not necessarily a souvenir item. You can also find similar versions of chia pudding at Great Maple and Small Bytes.
There are three frittatas to choose from – meat lovers, egg whites and veggie, cheese and eggs for $12 each. Ryno and I decided to split the egg whites and veggie. It was very filling and likely the healthiest thing I ate while at Disneyland… oops!
Spoiler alert – our favorite menu item was the pizza bagel for $10. While it wasn’t anything unique, who doesn’t love a cheesy pizza bagel? And for $10, this is a good one to split! This is also one of the few menu items that is more of a lunch item.
We of course had to also get a bakery item and chose the brownie for $5. This was definitely larger than your average brownie and was super dense. Ryno commented that it reminded him of a homemade brownie with its crisp edges and chewy center.
