Five People You Don’t Want to Be in Disney Parks in 2025

Five People You Don't Want to Be in Disney Parks in 2025 2024 - Zoe - Carrousel Large

We are bringing it back, my friends. The series that started many years ago is making a cameo this month, with a 2025 recap of a new list of Disney Park goers you don’t want to be when visiting the parks. Five People You Don’t Want To Be is like a group therapy session when the lack of Disney Parks etiquette starts to feel too much to bear. Sometimes, recognizing that the struggle is real is all it takes to lighten the impact of specific interactions. If you identify as someone below, don’t worry; there is still time to adjust to better Disney Parks behavior. And most importantly, it’s just a bit of fun, not to be taken too seriously. For previously featured infamous personalities, click here.

Loud Speaker Woman

I’ll start by admitting that this can be anyone, though, in my experience, it’s usually a woman who is old enough to know better. The act that puts you on the top five list this time around is spending unnecessary amounts of time on the phone using a loudspeaker while in the close confines of a Disney Parks attraction queue. A moment or two, fine. But that elongated chitchat that could easily be had without being in the earshot of the nearest thousand people around you. Oh, and did I mention that this one usually has the volume maxed out too? Loud Speaker Woman will talk loudly and endlessly about weirdly personal things and then shoot you filthy looks if it seems like you are (involuntarily) listening. Your presence, along with the other 100 people stuck in the queue nearby, is an inconvenience to her conversation.

The Touchers

This one, I’ve only come across in person once, but the outrage, along with stories that others have shared with me similar interactions have led to The Touchers being included in this list. These people reach out on Pirates of the Caribbean to see if they can touch something nearby or stick their hand in the water on “it’s small world” even though they are thoroughly warned to keep their hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the boat at all times. It’s just so unnecessary and sets a bad example for children around you who might suddenly decide to do the same.

The Most Important Person in the Theatre

This one has two parts, and you must complete both the tests to take the crown as the most important (and possibly most annoying) person in the room. First, you must push your way through to the front of the communal waiting area, ensuring you enter the theatre before those who waited longer than you. Even if you are the last person to arrive, you must not-so-subtly place yourself and your party directly at the opening doors as though no one else matters. Then, when you are instructed to enter the theatre, with the constant reminder to move all the way to the end of the row (which you so diligently made sure you were the first one to walk into) proceed to plop yourself down in the dead center of the room, forcing all the other guests to climb over and around you in order to fill in all the available seating.

The Scowlers

The Disney Parks are a great destination for families with kids to enjoy. However, some guests seem to think that just because you are trying to create the perfect family vacation, your little ones must suddenly become perfect as well. I get it, there isn’t anything fun about hearing children screaming or running around a restaurant, but there is a gigantic difference between parents who are ignoring their child’s bad behavior and those who are struggling to support their child through an exhausted meltdown. The Scowlers are those reactive, judgmental people that, despite your best efforts to move your upset child away from the crowd and soothe them back to calm, look at you with contempt. Sometimes, all a struggling parent needs is an understanding smile from someone nearby to find comfort. When it’s not clear what the circumstances are, don’t be The Scowlers, passing judgment and negative vibes on families who are doing their best. You don’t know what could be happening behind the scenes.

The Table Hoggers

Don’t worry. If you are thinking this one is calling out the families that split up, some to look for the table and others to order the quick service food, you’re wrong. Sometimes, that is the only way to find a table! This perfect world idea of waiting until you have your food to find a table is simply unrealistic and a great way to end up huddled over a trash can resting your tray on the top to eat. No, instead, this one has a different intention. It’s the family of two who sit down at a table that could fit 4 – 8 people and take up more room than they need unnecessarily. The kicker here is that you can’t simply take the last available table to earn this selfish title; you have to see a smaller alternative near you and actively choose the larger option for absolutely no reason. Before you jump on me here, in this scenario, no more family ultimately arrives. I’m talking about that couple who walk up with their food, ready to eat, see a table for two and a table for six, choosing to spread out at the larger table just because they can.

You made it till the end! If you have any of your own pet peeve Disney behaviors you want to see added to the list, add them to the comments below. And remember, this is meant to be a bit of fun, a release of that frustrated tension to just have a laugh instead of taking it all too seriously. 🙂
