Guests can help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 1, 2019.
Not only will the park celebrate their accomplishment the entire year with the new 30th anniversary logo above, but other exciting things are happening in the theme park as well. The logo represents the new design of Mickey and Minnie Mouse that has been seen on the artist renderings of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the upcoming attraction slated to open this Fall.
Beginning January 18, characters from The Incredibles will host a dance party at Pixar Avenue (formerly Pixar Place). Guests will have the opportunity to meet the one and only Edna Mode too.
Mike and Sulley from Disney•Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. will open the door to a new meet and greet location inside Walt Disney Presents.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is a new show that is set to open this spring where guests will hear his untold story. McQueen himself will share tips and stories about racing from his years of experience on the racetrack.
Wonderful World of Animation will debut May 1 as part of the celebration of the park’s 30th anniversary. The show will use state-of-the-art technology to take you on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey.
Quite possibly the most-anticipated upcoming event is the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The new land is set to open in the late Fall of this year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and will present guests with the opportunity to explore Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu along with two new attractions: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
