The Disneyland Resort has announced that their Disney Performing Arts Conservatory will be held again this summer, helping young performers improve their skills.
In addition to the musical theatre conservatory that has been held in the past, this year young musicians can attend the instrumental conservatory.
The classes are aimed at performers ages 14 to 22 and will be held on select days in July and August, with each conservatory running five consecutive days. The classes include in-depth work sessions, immersive classes, and professional panels, plus behind-the-scenes and in-park learning experiences.
Young musicians will focus on performance skills, sight reading and musicianship. Young thespians will work on acting, dancing and vocal techniques. Classes are taught by Disney entertainment professionals.
At the end of the five-day conservatory, the students will perform inside one of the theme parks for Disneyland Resort guests.
The musical theater conservatory will be held July 28-August 1, 2019 and August 4-8, 2019. The instrumental conservatory will be held July 16-20, 2019. The cost for either conservatory is $1,195 per participant.
