Disney’s PhotoPass testing stationary cameras at the Magic Kingdom

According to WDW News Today, testing is currently underway in Walt Disney World of a new way for visitors to get their photos taken. According to the blog, Disney has set up stationary PhotoPass cameras in front of Rapunzel’s tower in Kingdom Crossing at the Magic Kingdom. Guests can position themselves in front of the camera, activate the camera, and then link the photo to their PhotoPass accounts. The report states that there will be cast members present to aid people in use of the new system and to give those that use it a free photo download as a “thank you for helping with the test.” The article further claims the testing will continue at the Sword in the Stone exhibit in Fantasyland “in a few days.”

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
