Downtown Disney Businesses to Close Earlier Than Expected

Back in March, the Disneyland Resort notified businesses on the west end of Downtown Disney that they needed to close by June 30, 2018 to allow construction to begin on a new luxury hotel.

It appears, however, that most of those business will be closing well ahead of that deadline.

Based on available reservations and conversations with long-time servers, the last day of business for ESPN Zone will be June 2nd.

The calendar and hours posted on the official Disneyland website show that the western Starbucks location, Earl of Sandwich, Rainforest Cafe, and Alamo Rent-A-Car will all close on June 17th.

A closing date for the AMC 12 Theatres has yet to be announced.

AMC will open a new theater next year in Anaheim GardenWalk, but none of the other business have announced any plans to reopen or relocate.

Construction is set to begin in July on the new Disneyland Resort luxury hotel, with a 2021 opening date planned.
