According to an article in The Hollywood Reporter, Disney was the victim of a cybersecurity incident by ‘Nullbulge.’ The group declares it now possesses more than one terabyte of Disney’s data. They’ve reportedly claimed responsibility for the hack, which includes a large amount of data reportedly taken from internal Slack channels. The group characterizes itself as “a hacktivist group protecting artists’ rights and ensuring fair compensation for their work.”
The leaked information includes a trove of internal communications from Disney, images, logins, studio information, ad campaigns and other information, almost all appearing to be from the Salesforce-owned communications platform Slack.

The group informed The Wall Street Journal it targeted Disney “due to how it handles artist contracts, its approach to AI, and its [sic] pretty blatant disregard for the consumer.”
A Disney spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that the company “is investigating this matter.”
