At the start of the Annual Meeting of Shareholders Monday afternoon, The Walt Disney Company premiered a brand new sizzle for Disney100. Grab your tissues, it’s a good one!
Disney CEO Bob Iger kicked the meeting off from on-location at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, reiterating that stories empower the company.
Bob talked a bit about TRON Lightcycle / Run which opens Tuesday in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
Iger then talked about the upcoming Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, that’s coming soon to EPCOT. He said that final touches are being made to the attraction now, and clips shown during the presentation show the area looking pretty close to finished.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, along with his two young daughters, announced that a new live-action reimagining of Moana is in the works. You can view the announcement below – be sure to watch until the end! Also, Johnson revealed that he will return to play Maui.
