With the end of the initial reservation-only period for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge fast approaching, the Disneyland Resort has released more information about how guests will be able to access the newest area in Disneyland Park beginning June 24th!
Guests are advised to download the Disneyland App, as that will be the easiest way to access information about visiting Batuu. During busier times, Disneyland may use a virtual queuing system to control guest access to Galaxy’s Edge.
Guests that wish to visit Galaxy’s Edge should check the app, and if the land status is “open,” they can simply head inside. If the status is “access by boarding group only,” then guests will need to join a boarding group. This can be done on the app or at select FASTPASS locations, including Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones Adventure, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, or Matterhorn Bobsleds.
Guests will be notified when it’s their time to enter Galaxy’s Edge via the app and on digital signage in the park. Guests will have up to two hours after their group is called to enter the land.
While reservations will no longer be required to enter the land, limited capacity experiences like Savi’s Workshop and Oga’s Cantina will still require reservations. Same-day reservations will be available beginning at 7:00am and require a valid credit card. Guest with reservations to either experience will have access to Galaxy’s Edge at the time of their reservation and will not be required to join a boarding group. Oga will charge a fee of $10 per person for no-shows at the Cantina and a fee of $199.99 per builder will be charged by Savi for missing a workshop reservation. No cancellations are allowed.
Here’s Disneyland Ambassador Justin Rapp with even more details about the new process:
Remember that now through June 23rd, a reservation is still required to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
