
9:40 p.m. UPDATE:
Deputies were at the Disney Beach Club Resort in reference to a suspicious person. Someone thought a man had a gun under a jacket. Deputies determined there was no threat. Guests at the resort are safe. We take all threats seriously and will always respond and investigate.

Various posts on social media Thursday evening are reporting a heavy police presence at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
Guests in the area have also confirmed that a SWAT team had been seen inside and around the Resort and a helicopter was circling above.
The Resort was on lockdown earlier, but we’re now hearing that the police lifted the lockdown and cleared the situation.
This story will be updated as new information comes in with regards to what happened.
