Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin to Lay Off More Than Eleven Hundred Employees

In a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN notice) sent to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings Friday, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has announced that they’ll be implementing job eliminations beginning on November 13, 2020.

This will terminate 1,136 employees at the two locations and the letter states that the terminations are expected to be permanent due to the hospitality industry being hit especially hard with historically low hotel occupancy and event cancellations.

In case you missed it, the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic for 2020 was cancelled earlier this year.
