Superheroes take over the inaugural Avengers half marathon

The inaugural Avengers Superheroes Half Marathon took place last weekend at the Disneyland Resort and around the city of Anaheim.
More than 18,000 runners, some in costume, participated in various races throughout the weekend, including the half marathon, 5K and kid's races.
The half marathon was won by William Prom, 29 of Irvine, who crossed the finish line with a time of 1:14:17. Alex de la Huerta, 24, of Mexico was the fastest woman, with a time of 1:22:42.
Next year's races take place November 12-15, 2015.
