Unfortunately, we have seen many fights throughout Walt Disney World this year. This is supposed to be the most magical place on earth, yet there’s so much anger and tension in the parks. After these recent brawls, Disney has added a new rule to the website.
The new warning can be found on the Disney World Reopening & Updated Experience page under the preparing for your next visit section. They have added this new section labeled ‘Courtesy,’ and below it reminds guests to ‘Be the magic you want to see in the world.’
If you click on the icon or read more, a paragraph appears explaining that guests need to be kind and respect others while in the park. It also states that visitors who can’t respect this rule will be asked to leave the Walt Disney World Resort.
I am glad that Disney added this to the website, but it should have never gotten to this point. Yes, visiting WDW can be stressful and hectic, but violence is unnecessary. Seeing all the different altercations from this year irked me, and I’m sure others feel the same. I go to Disney because, for me, it’s a safe place and somewhere where I can escape negativity from the outside world. How do you feel about Disney adding this rule to its website?
