It’s the most romantic time of the year, and you’ve found yourself at The Most Magical Place on Earth with your significant other – now what?
Whether you want to share a meal, turn into an iconic couple, or simply feel the magic, there’s something for every Disney-loving duo to enjoy at Walt Disney World this Valentine’s Day.
1. Celebrate Your Love with a Button
This first one is simple, free, and an incredibly sweet gesture. Most resorts and theme park gift shops have free celebration buttons for guests celebrating any and all occasions, from first visits to birthdays.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day by wearing a button to let everyone know you’re in love. Options include an “I’m Celebrating” button, which allows you to write any celebration on it, or a “Happily Ever After” button, which is typically intended for engagements and weddings but can also be worn simply to celebrate your relationship on the day of love.
2. Share Spaghetti Like Lady and Tramp at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom is themed around the memorable restaurant from Lady and the Tramp, where the pups enjoyed a spaghetti dinner and shared their first kiss.
What couple doesn’t want to recreate that romantic Lady and the Tramp moment? Unlike the canine couple, you won’t have to eat your dinner near trash cans. Reserve a table at this Main Street restaurant, order the Spaghetti and Meatballs meal, and share a strand of spaghetti until your lips magically meet.
3. Recreate Cory and Topanga’s EPCOT Kiss
As far as couple goals go, Cory and Topanga from Boy Meets World have always been at the top of the list, and the Season 3 episode “The Happiest Show on Earth” is just another example of their perfect love story. Cory sets out to win Topanga back during her trip to Disney World, and just as he gives up, Topanga reveals she wants to get back together, and the two unforgettably kiss beneath Spaceship Earth in EPCOT.
EPCOT certainly may not look the way it did in the late 90s, but finding a similar spot to share a smooch by Spaceship Earth is both doable and iconic.
4. Ride a Magic Carpet like Aladdin and Jasmine
One of the best Disney couples, in my opinion, Aladdin and Jasmine are best known for their magic carpet ride that took them to a whole new world; a ride that inevitably helps Prince Ali win Jasmine over. After all, what’s more romantic than flying in the sky, taking in the sights, and singing a duet with the person you love?
Grab your prince or princess and lead the way onto The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, found in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Hop aboard a magic carpet and leave no space between you as you fly around and enjoy the views of the park below you.
5. Watch Happily Ever After
The amount of romance this Magic Kingdom firework show has to offer is in the name – Happily Ever After. Hold hands, stand close, maybe even rest a head on a shoulder as you stand on Main Street watch as fireworks light up the sky above Cinderella Castle while beautiful (and romantic) Disney songs fill the park.
Not only will you enjoy the show’s title track, “Happily Ever After” by Jordan Fisher and Angie Keilhauer, but Olaf and a rendition of “Love Is An Open Door” from Frozen will lead into the love story portion of the show featuring castle projections of Aladdin and Jasmine, WALL-E and Eva, and Simba and Nala while an instrumental of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King plays.
