Are You Happy With Your Country’s World Showcase Pavilion?

EPCOT’s World Showcase is the centerpiece attraction of this second-born Florida Disney Park. Eleven countries are represented in this portion of the park, including Mexico, China, France, Italy, the United States, Canada, the UK, Japan, Morocco, Germany, and Norway. Though each pavilion is impressive in its design and concept, they aren’t all created equally. Some might have a show, others a gallery, and the lucky ones even a ride or similarly exciting attraction. Today we are asking our DIS community, are you happy with your country’s pavilion?

I’ve often wondered if the World Showcase needed an authenticity check. More than once, I’ve felt as though a few of the pavilions weren’t true to my experiences in those original countries. So, what better way to determine the state of things than to ask our community?

Clearly, I’m very unhappy with mine. The non-existent Australian pavilion is in a very poor state. (Qantas, meet Disney; Disney, meet Qantas…) Look, I’d even settle for a shared Australia / New Zealand option with all of our favorite things. Tim Tams, Vegemite, Lamingtons, Anzac Biscuits, Pavlova, L&P; there’s some good stuff there! Moving (reluctantly) on. I’m curious to hear how our community feels about their pavilions and if each is a true representation of your homeland. Give us the details. What would you change, and what actually reflects your culture, cuisine, and tradition?
