Walt Disney World’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is Missing One Very Important Thing

With the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction opening less than a month away at the Magic Kingdom (June 28th y’all!) and even more sneak peeks released from Walt Disney Imagineering, I can’t help but notice something is missing. The opportunity to enjoy Tiana’s Palace at Walt Disney World!

I recently enjoyed dinner at Tiana’s Palace in New Orleans Square inside Disneyland and thoroughly enjoyed everything I had! The quick-service restaurant is cafeteria style with the option to mobile order. Even better, the outdoor seating feels just like you’re dining in a New Orleans courtyard. In addition to a Cajun-inspired menu, there are several different hot sauces “on tap” for you to try. Because no Cajun dish is complete without a dash of hot sauce!

Everything we ordered at Tiana’s Palace, I would absolutely get again! Pictured above is the Muffuletta Sandwich made with Mortadella, salami, rosemary ham. cheddar, provolone, and house-made olive relish on toasted New Orleans sesame seed bread for $14.99. It comes with both house-made pickles and red beans & rice.

We also had the 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken and Andouille Sausage made with white beans, okra, yams, sweet potatoes, and heirloom rice for $16.99. This was such a filling dish and would be perfect on a cool day.

Even the kid’s macaroni and cheese was phenomenal and just like someone’s mama made it – maybe Eudora?? Other menu items include the House Gumbo, Cajun Spiced Half Chicken, Beef Po’boy Sandwich, and Gulf Shrimp and Grits.

Tiana’s Palace in Disneyland is in the same location as the walk-up beignets and mint juleps which Walt Disney World desperately needs! They might be tasty but I KNOW the Frontierland version is not Tiana’s actual recipe. At Tiana’s Palace, you can also order lemon curd-filled beignets with or without this very cute souvenir set.

It’s going to be very hard for me to enjoy Princess Tiana telling us all about her daddy’s famous gumbo recipe and then not having anywhere in Magic Kingdom to try her delicious food! Please Bob Iger, Josh D’Amaro, and the Disney powers that be… please give us the opportunity to enjoy Tiana’s Palace on the East Coast!
