Does your family have favorite Disney characters? Do you enjoy meeting the characters when you visit the Disney theme parks?
EPCOT has quite a few Disney characters that you can meet throughout the park. You can always check your My Disney Experience app to see which ones are scheduled to appear on your visit date.
Before your visit, think of what you would like the characters to sign. I have seen people use white backpacks and then have the characters sign with different-colored Sharpie markers. Use wide photo matte boards with a cutout for the picture you have with the characters. You could create a photograph book with a picture of the character and have them sign it.
If you are crafty, you could use your Cricut to create an autograph book. You could think about having them sign a piece of fabric that you can embroider or use to make a quilt. Characters could sign a pair of Mickey Ears or have them sign your paper park map and then frame it. There are lots of great ideas – we’d love to hear yours, too! Keep in mind that some characters can’t sign anything, but you can have a photo to remember the experience.
EPCOT offers several locations throughout the park where you can meet Disney characters. Your My Disney Experience app features a list of characters and their locations throughout Walt Disney World.
Cool Kid Summer is happening in Summer 2025, so be sure to visit Goofy Core in CommuniCore Hall. They have a summer party with Goofy. They also have a DJ playing fun tunes for the kids.
Mickey & Friends are in the CommuniCore building, where you can find Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and other rotating characters.
You can meet Moana near the Journey of Water. Minnie and Pluto will sometimes meet guests before you approach Spaceship Earth
My personal favorite, Figment, meets in the Imagination Pavilion.
At the Disney Visa character meet back by the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, you will need to show your card to enter. They have rotating characters here.
In the Gazebo in World Showcase Plaza you can find Asha, to the left of the walkway towards the Mexico pavilion.
We haven’t experienced the World Showcase for characters yet, but you can find:
UK pavilion– Winnie the Pooh, and Alice in Wonderland
Norway– Anna and Elsa in Royal Sommerhus. In Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, you can meet Snow White.
Germany– Snow White
China– Mulan
