After our closer look at the limo marquee for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, we’ve anxiously waited to see the updated iconic 40-foot Stratocaster guitar outside the ride’s building. If we weren’t already excited before, these photos are driving the hype home.
Disney has been repainting the classic red to a colorful, psychedelic look that’s more fitting for The Muppets and The Electric Mayhem.

The arches leading into the G-Force Records courtyard have also been recently painted to a darker grey color scheme. Here’s how they look now versus before:

While there are construction walls surrounding the guitar for a little while longer, you can get a pretty good look at the guitar’s new color scheme since the area is still open to access Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, as well as some dining and shopping kiosks.

Groovy stripes of cerulean blue, pistachio green, golden yellow, lilac, and purple have been added, with a brighter cherry red incorporated. Yellow stars can also be seen towards the top and bottom of the body.

Once complete, the guitar will once again sit on a base made up of giant piano keys, but will have one new golden key resembling Dr. Teeth’s singular golden tooth.

When Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster re-opens, the dynamic Sunset Boulevard duo will be back in action!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets opens on Tuesday, May 26th, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is just a few weeks away! The set list for the ride was released, which includes:
- Song 2 – The Electric Mayhem
- Born To Be Wild – The Electric Mayhem ft. Camilla the Chicken
- Love Rollercoaster – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennider Hudson & Questlove
- Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
- Walking on Sunshine – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson
Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, each ride will feature one of the above tracks. So, we’ll just have to keep riding over and over again to try out each song!
