The Muppets will soon return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios attraction lineup, as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster progresses into early previews ahead of its May 26 opening.
Since our last look at the 40-foot Stratocaster guitar outside the ride, Disney has removed the construction walls, unveiling more of the new design and an updated piano-key base, including a nod to the new Muppets re-theme.
The entrance archway now proudly displays the full title “G-Force Records Presents Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets” rendered in lettering that complements the attraction’s new sleek, dark gray color scheme.

In preparation for the Cast Member preview period beginning May 16, planters are now blocking access to half of the courtyard near the attraction entrance and KRNR The Snack Station food kiosk (which is prime to become FØØD by Swedish Chef, announced just yesterday).

“Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Muppets” branding now stretches across the lower body of the beloved 40-foot icon, swapping out the ruby-red Aerosmith look for a more psychedelic, colorful, and very, very Muppet-y makeover.

The guitar sits on a base made up of giant piano keys, including one new golden key resembling Dr. Teeth’s singular golden tooth.

The attraction poster was also recently unveiled, showcasing Kermit, Miss Piggy, and The Electric Mayhem riding along in their decked-out L.I.M.O.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
In just under two weeks, you can tour the infamous G-Force Records as part of a very special VIP experience. You may have visited this studio before, peering in on some other rock legends, but now it’s under new management! Expect a colorful new look with plenty of familiar faces. In fact, it was none other than J.P. Grosse (real estate tycoon, owner of the Muppet Theatre, and Scooter’s uncle) who helped The Muppets secure this legendary recording studio.

No VIP tour of G-Force Records would be complete without catching the band in action. Deep in rehearsal, The Electric Mayhem are running through “Can You Picture That?” ahead of their headline set at a big Hollywood concert, and they are not easy to pull away from a jam session. Scooter and a crew of audio engineer penguins are doing their best to hustle the band along, but you know how musicians are.
When it’s finally time to make the trip across town, guests board the “Lengthy Immediate Motion Object” — L.I.M.O. for short, straight from the minds at Muppet Labs.

Once the L.I.M.O. hits zero to sixty, it’s showtime. Guests will rock out to one of five possible tracks, each performed by The Electric Mayhem:
- Song 2
- Born To Be Wild (featuring Camilla the Chicken)
- Love Rollercoaster (featuring Jennifer Hudson & Questlove)
- Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) (featuring Def Leppard)
- Walking on Sunshine (featuring Kelly Clarkson)
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets opens May 26 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with Annual Passholder previews beginning May 21, and Disney Vacation Club Member priority access on May 24.
What do you think of the new courtyard and guitar? Are you planning a trip solely to see Disney World’s new Muppets attraction?
